Play On, Palatine: Shaping the Future of Our Community

April 17, 2025

The Palatine Park District is excited to embark on a new journey – the creation of a comprehensive master plan that will shape the future of our parks, facilities and programs for the next decade. This is more than just a plan; it is a bold vision designed with YOU – our community at its center. With feedback provided by you through data collection, surveys and internal assessments, this roadmap will ensure our offerings develop to meet the needs of our ever-growing community.

Your voice matters! We need your input to identify key goals that will enhance our parks and services. Your input isn’t just appreciated, it is essential. Whether you use our parks regularly or occasionally, this is your opportunity to shape the future of the Palatine Park District.

To guide this initiative, we’ve partnered with Hitchcock Design Group to conduct a Community Survey, designed to pinpoint priorities for park improvements, programs, and services. The survey only takes 10-15 minutes to complete, and each question is an important step toward creating a future-focused, resident-driven plan that enhances the quality of life for everyone in Palatine.

For 3,000 randomly selected households, within the Park District boundaries, surveys have been directly sent to your mailbox. If you’ve received one, please take a moment to complete and return the survey.

Didn’t receive a survey? No Worries! You can still share your thoughts by filling out the online survey here – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BT2HNC5. Representatives from Hitchcock will also be at the Big Trucks Event on Saturday, May 3 from 10 am – 1 pm.

The survey closes on Friday, May 9.

The results of this collaborative effort will be shared on the District’s website this fall. Your ideas and feedback will pave the way for a vibrant, dynamic future for the Palatine Park District – a community where everyone can thrive.
