Community Center is a 49,000 sq. ft. facility and home to gymnastics, dance, theatre, fitness center, group exercise classes, summer day camp, toddler programs. The gymnasium is host to various indoor sports, such as volleyball, basketball, and pickleball.
Facilities Manager – Community & Birchwood
The gymnasium is ideal for athletic events and private parties of up to 300 people. Community Center meeting rooms can accommodate groups up to 50 people. Community Center also has a number of different Birthday Party Packages to choose from for the perfect celebration!
At Community Fitness Center we are committed to providing a welcoming and family friendly atmosphere, assisting you in achieving your fitness goals. All members enjoy basic group fitness classes, open gym at all district recreation centers, access to the indoor track at Falcon Recreation Center and Community Center, and 10% off all individual group fitness classes/personal training.
Palatine Park District Gymnastics Program offers gymnastics instruction for boys and girls from preschool through high school. The primary goal is to provide high-quality gymnastics instruction to as many young people as possible, on the most individual basis possible. Please review the important information below regarding upcoming temporary closures and schedule changes at the Community Center.
Walking Track: May experience intermittent closures. Please call the Community Center Office for real-time availability.
Temperature Notice: Heat will be unavailable during the replacement; however, portable cooling units will remain in use.
Wednesday, October 15:
Back Parking Lot: Spaces near Ost Field will be unavailable. A crane will be positioned in this area during HVAC installation.
Gymnastics Center: Closed during morning hours.
All areas are expected to be fully operational by the evening of October 17.
The Community Center will close early at 6:00 p.m. to allow for carpet cleaning and disinfection throughout the building.
